Iconography

Art direction is directing the composition of a set/location to make as much of in context with the mood as possible. In art direction, minute details matter and can make a huge difference if noticed by the audience.

Iconography refers to the specific items of the art direction that either take the story ahead or have a relevance in conveying something about the actor/situation.

In my opening sequence, when she receives the image from the unknown number indicating that he is behind her right now, it shows that she is in trouble/trapped and this is what is going to take the story forward.
